Shipping and terms
Two ways to arrange shipping.
The main question is who books the vessel, you or us. The rest follows from that.
You arrange the freight
You appoint your own forwarder. We grade, pack, seal, prepare the documents and hand over. Buyers with their own forwarder usually prefer this.
- EXWEx Works
- You collect the goods from our factory and handle everything from there.
- FOBFree On Board
- We clear the goods and load them onto the vessel you have booked. Your forwarder takes over from there.
We arrange the freight
We book the space, arrange the trucking and manage the documents. You have one contact for the whole shipment, including any change of dates.
- CNFCost and Freight
- We book the vessel and pay the freight to your port. Insurance is not included; please arrange your own cover if needed.
We do not provide insurance, so we do not quote CIF. If you need cover for the voyage, please arrange it on your side. We will supply any documents your insurer requires.
From confirmed order to loaded vessel.

Prepared
Taken from stock and prepared to your confirmed specification.

Packed
Bagged, weighed and counted by the same team that graded it.

Loaded
Loaded and sealed under our supervision. The seal number is recorded on the documents.

Delivered to port
Taken to the port of departure on a date agreed with you in advance.

Cleared
Export clearance and the full document set, checked against the container.

How the price is fixed
Freight rates change often, so a quotation made weeks before booking is only an estimate. We fix your price on the booking date of your container. Before that date it follows the market. After it, the price does not change.
